About The Artists

Desi is the henna artist and main glitter artist of Art by Desi. She has been doing henna professionally since 2005, and she is also a licensed cosmetologist. She attends conferences all over the country to improve her skills and learn from some of the best henna artists in the world. She is also a certified artist with ICNHA, and works very hard to make sure that the paste she uses is completely safe. All of her paste is mixed and put into the cones by her, so she knows what is going in to every cone and ultimately onto every person who gets a design.

Doug is an amazing site manager as well as one of our glitter artists. He will make sure that all your questions are answered, and that you walk away with a delightfully glittery piece of art. Doug is also a librarian at one of the local public libraries and while you chat, he can give you some amazing book suggestions.

Ernie is a splendid site manager as well as a glitter artist. He makes sure that you’re having a great time while getting your work done. Ernie is also a very accomplished artist! His general style of art is restyled comic and cartoon characters, but he also does caricatures of famous characters. Aislinn is one of our glitter artists. Don’t be surprised by her small size and young age, however! She’s great with kids and loves what she does. She will make sure that your glitter design is fabulous and sparkling. Aislinn is also a balloon artist and does fun and simple animals. Kat is one of our glitter artists, as well as an occasional site manager. She’s knowledgeable, kind, and always eager to make sure that your glitter design is everything you could hope for. Kat is also an amazing graphic designer, and does top notch work. Her company, Ink and Circuit, is the one who made the Art by Desi logo a reality!

Our site managers are excellent at answering questions and helping make sure that the event goes smoothly. They are extremely knowledgeable and helpful. They are indispensable at a larger event. If you are planning on 25 or more people at your event, we recommend that you hire on at least one Site Manager to make sure that things can go as smoothly as possible.

Our glitter artists are excellent and love to provide you with the most lovely and sparkling designs possible. Each one has been carefully trained so they can make the best use of glitter stencils. They are happy to hear about your favorite colors, and will guide you through the process so that your design is everything you hoped it would be.
